New Zealand Health Services have much to learn from the Final Report of the Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for children and young people being released today.
The Guardian has reported that the NHS now intends to commission an independent review of the adult gender clinics because of concerns raised by whistleblowers. Those same adult clinics refused to supply data for the Cass report.
Hurrah! I'm sure they will reuse the existing quality thinking about how to do this. I hope they resource it properly and we have a timely response. I guess the clinics as they are NHS cannot take their own empoyer to court although some other body might be incentivised to try.
